Forming the Creature
Augustine said we are disquieted until we find our rest in Christ. This rings
unequivocally true and must be heeded in the formation of scholars. Even the best primary
sources, richest literature, and most thorough curricula across all content will not quiet the
scholar. Only in Christ is sense made and rest found. We must still give scholars rich and
thorough resources from which to learn, but if we teach anything apart from the truth and
reality of Scripture, disquiet will reign.
